Dancing Concert (Frogs...)

It was our last dancing rehearsal on Friday...

We were pretty excited to be dancing as "Frogs" in the Enchanted Forrest theme...

Here's part of the backdrop Mum helped to paint..

On Saturday afternoon, 

We had a little nap like Miss Wendy asked

And then it was showtime...

One little green frog...

And froggie number two...

 We did another little dance at the end and all the girls threw streamers...
We had a LOT of fun gathering them all up while the lady was talking to everyone on the microphone..

Kindy Assembly

It was performance week here in Dampier if you are a Four Year old...

Our first item was a matinee Kindy performance..

We sang "Mrs Vertigan had a farm"

(We were flowers!)

And we also had to talk on the microphone.

Here we are getting ready in our Kindy room (now the 'Green Room')

Lining up with the scarecrows and rabbits..

Here is Jemma's very exciting moment.

She had to say "This is our Good Morning song ... Kindy style"

She practiced all week and said it very well...

And here's Jess - who had to say "Our School Creed, ready one two..."

What we hadn't realized was that Jess stood near the microphone while everyone actually said the school creed - so her voice came over the microphone.  Luckily she'd been practicing it coz she said it so well!

We were very proud..

Waiting patiently for our turn to sing and dance..

And here it was..

"And on that farm she had some flowers.... e i e i oooo"

"With a swish swish here and a swish swish there........"

It was a very convincing performance....

It's pretty lucky when your Mum is the school Music teacher...

Then your class doesn't have to learn a new community song for your assembly...

We just did the Macarena - which we did for the Bush dance..

Lots of fun.

We must have been good.

There were so many people that wanted to take our photo...

Flower girls...

Not long now til we fly out to Bali and stay at the hotel with the waterslide...

Oh and are also flower girls at Chelsea's wedding.

We visited Jai and Malcolm for our last final fitting...

Still a bit of room for a few big pancake breakfasts...

But the dresses fit really well...

Jemma will be partnering "Jai"

And Jessica will be with "Malcolm"

(They're good mates...)

Kindy Homework...

Our first Kindy homework project...

Mrs Vertigan showed us 2 very special backpacks.

Each backpack had a very special buddy in it that needed looking after for the week.

Jessica was given the first one a couple of weeks ago.

In it was "Buddy" Teddy - a purple rabbit, some books, puzzles and other things to do.

Our job was to look after him for a week and show him what we do...

We took Buddy to dancing...

He came on stage with us while we practiced for the concert...

 We cooked some muffins with him..

And had lots of fun!

The next week Jemma was very happy to have been asked to take home "Ducky"!  

She took very good care of him..

 In fact, he didn't leave her side the entire time...
She was very keen to take him camping with her... maybe we will have to ask Mrs Vertigan if he can stay with us again!
