Dorothy the Dinosaur...

So we woke up from our arvo nap on Saturday and Mum and Dad start mumbling something about Dorothy the Dinosaur.   Apparently there was some 'opening' of a new building and Dorothy was going to be there.
Mum made us a "fruit worm" before we went coz she said we'd be eating junk all afternoon...

The sugar eyes were pretty nice... we insisted on more of them...

So then we get into Karratha and had something to eat... but there was no sign of Dorothy.

Nope, she's not down that way either hey Jem?

We don't think Mum and Dad quite know what's going on... ahhh guess we'll just play along with the game...

So we are told the 'show' is running late and we have to get some ice cream.
Ahhh such is life.

"Never thought I'd say this Jess but I'm glad Dorothy's late"

And then not long after Mum was running around wiping ice cream off our dress, there she was....

And weren't we excited.

We didn't take our eyes off that stage for an entire hour... and you couldn't stop us talking in the car ride home.
Wow.  What a night!!!

Painting and Swimming

That's right, our two new favourite things to do..  (oh apart from cooking)

Jess gets stuck into the red and draws some 'donuts'

Jem must be going through Picaso's "blue" period...

Artists hard at work...

Jessica's paintings all revolved around Aunty Kat making donuts...

Mum's not into "New Age Body Art"... makes it hard for a girl to get creative...!

We're mixing our painting with a bit of fitness... we've been going to "Rae Rae's" pool while she's at work. Her pool is so big and so we can kick and splash around as much as we like.  We can swim to Mum by ourselves now, as long as we have our swimming suits and floaties on!

We've also been hitting the "little pool" at home.
Here we are helping Daddy relax after a hard day at work...

Aunty Kat and Uncle Ryan visit

We had Aunty Kat and Uncle Ryan come and visit us from Hedlad last weekend.
Kat showed two of her favourite things to do
#1 Cooking
# 2 Shopping at Garage Sales...!
She must've heard we are now 'wizzes' in the kitchen so she bought her donut maker with her...

She even let us lick the beater

You're the best Aunty Kat!!

Soooo yummy.  Jess contemplates a career as a baker?!

And Uncle Ryan took charge of story time...

Mum and Aunty Kat literally jumped out of their chairs when Dad told them there was a Garage Sale around the corner... and they're both right, they're ARE heaps of fun!!

Cooking

So we had a go at cooking Gingerbread the other day.  Oh man it was fun...

Ya gotta "mix mix mix" to start off says Jem... (as Jess tends to melting the butter a bit more...)

The dough was well mixed by the end...

Mmmmm you're drooling aren't ya?

Now to cut out the shapes...

Hmmmm - how to pick them up?

The massacre afterwards...

And the finished products...

Now for the most important part...
 The taste test...

Not bad Mum!

Dancing

We have also started Dancing again for the year... WE LOVE IT!  Mum still has to get on the dance floor with us (so no photos of dance classes yet cause she is busy skipping and jumping)...
But here's us limbering up beforehand...

And afterwards we get a Cheesymite scroll so Mum can do some shopping in peace... it's a fair deal we think.

Back to life in Dampier

After such an exciting holiday to Perth, it was a bit of a shock coming back to Dampier... no Grandparents to fuss over us anymore....!!  We are hoping they'll be up soon to visit us tho.

So what have we been up to lately!?
Well, we have starting going to "big girl daycare school..."  Here's us on our first day...

We've been catching up with friends... here's Jem getting dressed up at Jye and Malcolms house...

Then she found the "Buzz Lightyear" costume... didn't quite understand that it had to go on the other way, so it went on backwards...

And Jess found the Woody outfit...

We loved the dress ups so much that Mum took us to Kmart.  Did we want a princess dress up?  No.  How bout a fairy, ballerina, pixie or Cinderella?  No thanks... what did we want?
 WOODY Dress ups!

We've been doing some messy play... here's Jess hard at work with some shaving cream...

Oh, and we also now have a bumble bee and a lady bird dress up!  (The dress up box is now the first thing we head for in the morning...!)
