Jai and Malcolm's 3rd birthday...

The day had finally arrived.  Jai and Mal had been talking about their birthday for AGES... they must have been so excited.  We couldn't wait to go and help celebrate.  This birthday really is something to celebrate.... being so happy and healthy after being born at just 26 weeks and spending 3 months in hospital!
Dad popped in before their party to go and give them a ride on his Kanga (that they talk about so much)... apparently they loved it...
All dressed and ready to go... but Mum had to take a few snaps coz we were all jazzed up...

REALLY?  There will be cake, lollies AND icecream there??!!
Jess thought these shoes matched the dress better than the boots...
Playing with the rice with our mates from Twin group...

 Jess hard at work..
Time for a break and a feed.   Pies, red dogs, chips, biscuits and Mars Bars cars... party food at it's healthiest!
Ice cream man came too... Jem does a dash back to the party just in case she misses out on something...

Often the case... Jem dives in head first while Jess tastes cautiously...
 Careful Jem, don't choke

 Happy Birthday Jai and "Malc"
 Check out that cake car!
Thanks for a great party darl...see you soon!

Washing dollies and off to the library

It's starting to get warm up here in Dampier so we found our old favourite watertub and gave our dollies a wash to cool down...

Then on Friday we took a trip out to Wickham to go check out storytime at the library.  Then to catch up with some mates at the Playgroup out there... we had our Dora backpacks on and were ready to go....

Had a great time... made a fish with lots of colours and a long tail... and enjoyed checkin out all the new different toys at Playgroup...

Catching up with Jai and Malcolm

All set for a day checkin out the garage sales with Mum then to catch Jai and "Malc" at the park...

All dressed ready to go....   "Jem insisting that she'll only come to the garage sales if we go to the park afterwards...."
Time for a quick episode of "Dora" while Mum gets organised....

"Hows Dora going to get to the High Tower without the map?" asks Jessica...
After the park we hang out at the boys house with Mum and Aunty Chelsea... we have a bit of a run down on the happenings at the park..... "That slide was seriously fast..."  "Yeah but I think that park could do with another swing......"
Checkin out the boys toys on the outside Deck (notice Jessica holding leftover lunch bag....)
   Goodbye time....   "mwhaaaaaa"
 Jemma and Jai
  Jess and "Mal"
Jem found the boys boots so was a bit hard to farm out the door....
Ok I'll give you a hug Mal as long as I can wear your shoes and keep watching tele...
When we get home we sneak into Mums bed and hide.... "surprise Mum!" We're havin our afternoon nap in your room today....

Hello to Nathan

So we took some footage to email Nathan to tell him that we were looking forward to seeing him at Christmas.
We showed him our playdough and all the stuff we do inside.  Used Mums new iphone 4 and thought we were pretty smick and trendy.
THEN we tried to put it on the computer and found that Windows Movie maker wont recognise a MOV file.  So we tried to convert it (without luck).
THEN we got out Mums old apple bought in 2004... it uploaded but couldn't read the files as that computer is now an antique..
So we tried to use the Snow Leopard software Nath bought us but the computer was too old for that...
Apparently we needed to upgrade to Tiger before we could use Snow Leopard...
But this computer is still too old for Tiger...
Did we need just the Leopard?  Or the Lion?  Perhaps Cheetah or Rhino?
Mum and Dad were starting to act like the Wild Animals in Africa with all these new terms and lack of success...
We ended up trying to post some of it on this new blog and found we would be quicker to travel to Africa than to upload it all before Christmas.
So here's a very modified version....

And from Jessica...

Off to see Daddy at work

Off to the big smoke (Karratha) to visit Dad today, we were hoping to give him a hand to lay some turf but it didn't arrive in time.  So just hung out... first had a Kanga ride...

Then inspected the compacted dirt to make sure it was fit for the new turf...
Had a peek at the interior... not too bad tho Jem thinks the colour scheme chosen is questionable
 Time for a dance...
Then home to scoot round in Mum's socks..
 Check out the Variegated Gingers

 Give Doug a quick pat
And have a jump on the trampoline
